GVMS enhancement - submission of multiple declaration references.
HMRC has announced the introduction of a new service feature that allows up to 2,500 Declaration Undertaking Consignment Reference Numbers (DUCRs) to be sent by uploading a file to each GMR via a user interface.
From Tuesday 6 December 2022. HMRC is introducing an extension to the service that will allow up to 2,500 Declaration Parcel Reference Numbers (DUCRs) to be uploaded by sending a file to each GMR via the user interface, as opposed to the current process where they are added individually .Your file must:
- have a comma-separated values (CSV) format.
- have one DUCR per row
- use column 1 as DUCR reference
- use column 2 for part identifiers if your consignment is split.
The upload will consist of a simple copy and paste function from the carrier's systems into a CSV file provided via a web interface, which will send these DUCRs to the GMR once uploaded.
The web-based user interface will display upload instructions on the screen. A reminder of this information will appear on the screen when submitting the declaration.
