Electronic authorisation to travel to the UK - ETA

Electronic Travel Authorisation for the UK - ETA.
Please be advised that from 2 April 2025, all European Union citizens travelling to the UK will be required to hold an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) in addition to their passport. This requirement also applies to drivers carrying out their duties.
ETA is valid for 2 years and allows a continuous stay in the UK of up to 6 months. Applications can be made from 5 March 2025, via the government website or the ETA UK application (this is the UK government's recommended option). We encourage you to apply as soon as possible to avoid problems at the border.
To apply for ETA, you will need:
- The passport of the person for whom the permit is being obtained;
- Credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB) or Apple Pay/Google Pay - authorisation cost is £10;
- Access to the email account to which the verification code will be sent.
When submitting an application it will be necessary to:
- Include a scan of your passport on the website or scan it with your phone;
- Include a scan of the applicant's face on the website or scan it with a phone.
The whole process should take about 10 minutes.
